PixToolbox is built privacy-first: the images you compress never leave your device, and we do not sell, rent or share anything about you.
Your images stay on your device
The Image Compressor is a client-side tool. Your photos are opened, compressed and converted entirely inside your own browser using JavaScript. They are never uploaded to our servers, never stored on our infrastructure and never transmitted across the internet. You can even use the tool offline once the page has loaded.
Because of this design, PixToolbox cannot access, see, copy or recover the images you process. If you delete a file from the page, or close your browser tab, the file simply exists on your device again the way you left it.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect the contents of any image you process.
- We do not require an account, email address or any personal identifier to use the tools.
- We do not store files on a server for later retrieval.
- We do not run analytics scripts that read or send image data.
Technical data and analytics
The website itself may record standard, non-identifying server data such as the pages requested, the type of browser and operating system used, and a generalised region, purely to keep the service running, protect it from abuse and understand aggregate usage. This data cannot be used to identify you and does not include your images or any file contents.
Advertising
PixToolbox is free to use thanks to advertising. We intend to display ads served by Google AdSense and other approved advertising partners. These partners use cookies and similar technologies, and may use information such as your visits to this and other websites to show more relevant ads.
Ads are only initialised after you give your explicit consent, and still never interact with the images you process. You can decline advertising while continuing to use every tool undisturbed. See the Cookie Policy for details on the technologies involved.
Cookies
We use cookies and local storage only for features you control: remembering your advertising choice and, in future tools, preferences such as theme colour. Forced advertising cookies are never installed without consent. Read more in our Cookie Policy.
Third-party services
When you accept advertising, a script from Google AdSense may load in your browser so ad slots can be filled. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by Google's advertising technologies page. No third party has access to your images, because your images are never sent anywhere.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Since we hold no personal data about our users, most of these rights are satisfied simply by clearing your browser's stored settings or using the privacy controls of your consent choice.
