Frequently asked questions

Can I crop without changing the image quality?

Yes. Cropping simply removes pixels you don't want. Choose PNG output to keep the crop 100% lossless, or JPEG/WebP to also shrink the file size at a quality you control.

How do I keep the same aspect ratio while resizing?

The output always matches your crop box, and the height follows the width automatically. Pick a preset ratio (1:1, 4:3, 16:9…) before you crop for exact proportions.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The whole tool runs inside your browser. Your image is decoded, cropped and downloaded locally and never sent to a server — you can even use it offline after the page loads.

Why would I resize for the web?

Pages load faster and upload forms accept files sooner when images are cropped to the right size. Resizing a 4000 px photo to 1200 px can cut its file size dramatically with no visible difference on screen.
